After an early breakfast, set out on a full-day excursion to Jowai, headquarters of the Jaintia Hills district, located 66 km from Shillong along the Shillong–Silchar national highway. This picturesque town, circled by the majestic Myntdu River, was once the summer capital of the Jaintia Kings of Sutnga State. Visit India's most magical waterfall, Krang Suri, in Meghalaya — a moment of pure natural beauty. Later, drive to Tryshi Waterfalls, where a bridge connects the waterfall's surroundings with an expanse of green paddy fields, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Pynthor Nein valley. Next, stop at Thadlaskein Lake, where you can enjoy boating. In the afternoon, proceed to the Nartiang Monoliths, which measure 27 feet in height, 6 feet in breadth, and 2 feet 6 inches in thickness — these megaliths represent the ancient culture of the Hynniewtrep people. A 500-year-old Durga temple is another attraction at Nartiang. Return to Shillong in the evening.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Mawsynram, which — according to recent geological reports — receives the highest rainfall in the world and is known for its caves. Later, visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove, one of the largest sacred groves in Meghalaya. This well-preserved forest is protected by the local community, and nothing may be taken out of it, as it is safeguarded by local deities. Visit a Khasi model village before transferring to Cherrapunjee in the afternoon.
Note: Sohra (Cherrapunjee) and Dawki are rich in their own unique natural beauty and are ideal destinations for nature lovers, explorers, and travel enthusiasts. However, these destinations have limited options, facilities, and basic amenities. Even the best hotels here are equivalent to a basic 3-star standard, and some may lack fans, air conditioning, or lifts. Standard accommodations are available with clean rooms and hygienic bathrooms, along with basic non-vegetarian food; vegetarian options are very limited.

Wake up early to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Cherrapunjee. Visit Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park.
Optional Activity: Embark on a full-day trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village (closed on Sundays). The trek involves approximately 3,200 steps each way. From here, you can further trek down to Rainbow Falls, which takes about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
