After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Tokyo's most beloved landmarks. Visit the Asakusa Temple Complex (Senso-ji Temple), one of the oldest and most revered Buddhist temples in Tokyo. The temple grounds feature stunning traditional Japanese architecture, including a magnificent five-storey pagoda, and are surrounded by shops and restaurants. Browse the Nakamise Shopping Street, a lively lane leading up to the temple where you can find traditional Japanese souvenirs, snacks, and street food.
Next, head to the Tokyo Skytree, the world's tallest broadcasting tower, located in the Sumida district. Its observation decks offer breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the city. After breakfast and check-out, proceed to visit Mount Fuji — 5th Station (subject to weather conditions). This is the most popular starting point for climbing the mountain, located halfway up at an elevation of 2,305 metres, offering panoramic views of the surrounding scenery, including the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi and the Fuji Five Lakes region.
Also visit Gotemba Peace Park, situated near the base of Mount Fuji. Established to promote peace and international friendship, the park features a vast garden, museum, monuments, sculptures, and scenic walking trails. The park is particularly celebrated for its cherry blossoms in spring and its vibrant autumn foliage in fall.
Later, transfer to Mishima or Odawara Station to board the legendary Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Hiroshima. The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, during which you can enjoy stunning views of Japan's countryside, mountains, and cities from the comfort of the train. After breakfast and check-out, visit Miyajima Island and its celebrated Miyajima Shrine (Itsukushima Shrine), dedicated to the gods of the sea and mountains. Next, visit the iconic Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), a stunning Zen Buddhist temple covered in shimmering gold leaf, originally constructed in the 14th century as a retirement villa for a shogun. Stroll through the historic Gion District, Kyoto's most celebrated neighbourhood, known for its beautifully preserved traditional wooden buildings, geisha culture, tea houses, and atmospheric narrow lanes. The tour concludes at the magnificent Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vibrant vermilion Torii Gates forming a winding path up the forested mountain behind the shrine — an unforgettable sight at any time of day. Later, proceed to visit the iconic N Seoul Tower (Namsan Tower), originally constructed in 1969 as a radio and television broadcast tower, now one of Seoul's most beloved landmarks. After breakfast, visit the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the heavily fortified buffer zone running approximately 250 kilometres along the border between North and South Korea, established at the end of the Korean War in 1953 as part of the armistice agreement. The DMZ is approximately 4 kilometres wide and is the most heavily fortified border in the world.
Visit the Joint Security Area (JSA), the only point along the DMZ where North and South Korean soldiers stand face to face. Here you can see the famous Blue Conference Buildings, where official meetings between the two countries take place. Explore the Third Infiltration Tunnel, one of four tunnels discovered beneath the DMZ that were dug by North Korea in an attempt to infiltrate the South. Also visit Dorasan Peace Park, which features monuments, exhibits, a Peace Bell, and a memorial that highlight the history and ongoing significance of the Korean War and the divided peninsula.
In the evening, enjoy free time at the vibrant Dongdaemun Market, one of Seoul's largest and oldest shopping districts with a history spanning over a century. The market is spread across several complexes — including Dongdaemun Shopping Complex, Doota Mall, Migliore, and Hello apM — offering everything from clothing and accessories to electronics and beauty products. After breakfast, begin the day at Cheongwadae Sarangchae, a cultural museum offering a fascinating insight into the history and culture of Cheongwadae — the Blue House — South Korea's presidential residence. The museum showcases the role of past presidents in shaping the country's modern history.
Next, visit the grand Gyeongbokgung Palace, originally built in 1395 during the Joseon Dynasty and the largest of Seoul's Five Grand Palaces. After being partially destroyed during the Japanese occupation in the early 20th century, it was meticulously restored in the 1990s and is now one of Seoul's most visited historic sites. Continue to Changdeokgung Palace, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, originally built in 1405 during the Joseon Dynasty. Known for its exquisite architecture and serene Secret Garden, the palace is widely regarded as one of Korea's finest examples of traditional royal design. End the day with a visit to the COEX Aquarium, home to over 40,000 sea creatures from 650 different species — including sharks, stingrays, and penguins — offering a wonderful experience for families and marine life enthusiasts alike.
