One can climb 365 steps leading to stupa, rewarded with panoramic views of Kathmandu and surrounding valley. Also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, historic plaza that once served as royal palace complex for Malla kings of Nepal. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a remarkable showcase of traditional Newar architecture, with intricately carved wooden windows, multi-tiered pagodas and ornate statues. The square is surrounded by several significant buildings, including Hanuman Dhoka Palace, which now houses a museum and Kumari Ghar, home to living goddess Kumari.
